Definition

1: used to show that you think a word is used to describe someone or something is wrong

Examples

My so-called friend has stolen my girlfriend. (I thought he was my real friend, but since he's stolen my girlfriend, I might be wrong)

I was lied to by a so-called friend. (=by someone who claims to be my friend but who is not really my friend)
