Taking English classes online can be quite different from taking classes in a school or academy. Here are some tips to help you get the most from your classes on iTalki.
Wear headphones: Wearing headphones will make the sound clearer. This helps you hear the sound better and prevents the teacher from hearing an echo.
Write in the googledoc: Write any comments, doubts or questions you have in the googledoc. In class we can review them.
Use a learner’s dictionary: Use a learner’s dictionary to check pronunciation and see how words are used in sentences.

After class review: After class, review the googledoc and the skype chat. Take note of new vocabulary words or phrases in a notebook.
Practice, practice, practice: During the week, keep practicing. Review your new vocabulary words in apps such as memrise or quizlet, where you can make your own flashcards. Try to listen, read or practice English at least 20 minutes every day.
